Odessa boys take fourth place at state tournament

The Odessa Tigers boys basketball team is awarded fourth place at state in Spokane on March 3: Tournament officials, head coach Larry Weber, Camden Weber, Tim DeWulf, Lane Lobe, Marcus King, Colton Hunt, Jayd Jennings, Ryan Moffet, Jaden Hunt, Eric Johnston, assistant coach Larry Moffet, tournament official. The Odessa High School boys basketball team took fourth place at the state 1B tournament in Spokane last week after a grueling post-season of play. Some losses along the way meant that the boys had to claw their way through the losers' bracket, just as they did during the district tournament, but nevertheless earned their way into the trophy round.

Two Odessa boys earned medals for sportsmanship along the way, Jayd Jennings and Marcus King. A full account of the games leading up to the Tigers' fourth-place trophy is provided on page 4.
