Tigers still undefeated after recent games

On April 17, the Tigers played Wilbur-Creston in a double-header at home.
Wilbur-Creston
In game #1, the Tigers started out a little slow, as W-C grabbed a two-run lead in the first inning before Odessa pulled one run ahead in the second. In the fourth, however, Tiger bats came alive, scoring 11 runs, while the Wildcats’ score remained at two. They picked up one more run in the fifth for a final score of 14-3 in favor of Odessa.
Going all the way as pitcher in game #1 was Tim DeWulf, who threw 83 pitches, striking out six and walking six, while allowing three runs on four hits.

Camden Weber and Theron Schlomer each had three hits and three RBIs for the offense. Marcus King and Jakob Starkel had two RBIs apiece, and Josh Clark, Colton Hunt and Jett Nelson contributed had one RBI apiece.
In game #2, the Tigers took the lead in the first inning and never relinquished it. Schlomer pitched two innings, allowing four runs to score but striking out three and walking five. Jett Nelson relieved Schlomer in the third and finished out the game. He allowed no additional runs, struck out eight and walked two.

At the plate, Joshua Clark led the team with three RBIs, while Jayd Jennings and Weber had two each and DeWulf, Hunt, Eric Johnston, King and Colt Messer each added one.
Selkirk
Playing in Selkirk on April 21, the Tigers defeated their opponents in both games of the double-header.
Theron Schlomer was the starting pitcher for Odessa, going 4.2 innings, allowing one run on four hits while striking out six and walking four. Colton Hunt threw one pitch in relief in the final inning, allowing no runs or hits.

Weber, Nelson and King all had three hits in the game, and Nelson also led the team in RBIs with three. King had two stolen bases.
In game #2, Tim DeWulf pitched the first three innings before being relieved by Nelson in the fourth. DeWulf threw 50 pitches, struck out six and walked one while giving up one run on four hits. In the final inning, reliever Nelson threw 17 pitches, striking out three

The Odessa bats were hotter than ever, as Marcus King pounded out four hits including a grand slam home run. Joshua Clark and Tim DeWulf also hit home runs in that big third inning for the Tigers.
King was credited with six RBIs, Weber with four and Clark, DeWulf, Jennings and Nelson with two each.
