Tiger girls win two; one game left before District

On Wednesday, January 30, the Lady Tigers played against the Prescott Tigers in Prescott. As predicted by this lady, our ladies did a fantastic job showing Prescott just how vicious the Odessa Tigers can be. Odessa won 76 to 32.

Some serious teamwork was happening for our ladies. Katreace Boss had 12 points, making her the point leader for the game. McKennah Davison and Maddy Wagner both had 11 points, Tori Schlomer 10, Kenadie Elder 9, Caitlyn Schuh 8, Emily Scrupps 7 and Brenna Carstensen and Kassidy Crossley both had 4 points in the game.

The Tigers had an astonishing 45 rebounds in the game, with 11 assists and 13 steals. That is how you play the game, together as a team. It will always get the job done.

On Saturday, February 2, our lady Tigers had another away game this time in Creston against the Wildcats. As with most of the away games this season, the ladies pounced on the Wildcats, winning their game 55 to 26.

There was a tie for high scorer, with both Kenadie Elder and McKennah Davison scoring 12 points. They were followed by Caitlyn Schuh with 11, Brenna Carstensen with 7, Tori Schlomer with 6, Maddy Wagner with 4 and Emily Scrupps with 3.

The ladies stayed right next to the hoop, landing 34 rebounds in the game, with 6 assists and 20 steals, showing just how to get the job done when you work together.

The Lady Tigers play Selkirk February 5 in Ione.
