Criminal Sentencings

Nicole D. Carson, 27, of Fruitland, pleaded guilty Jan. 29 to residential burglary and first-degree theft in connection with incidents from March 12 to 14 of last year along Hart Road north of Davenport, during which coins, gold and silver bars and firearms were taken. She must serve 3 months jail (with credit offered for time served) and pay $600 court costs and restitution to be determined later.

William Emil Hughes, 38, of Reardan, pleaded guilty Sept. 25, 2018, to three counts of criminal conspiracy (to commit residential burglary and two counts of first-degree theft) and possession of a stolen firearm in connection with the Hart Road burglaries in March of last year. His sentence includes 27 months confinement and payment of $700 court costs and restitution to be determined later. He also pleaded guilty and was sentenced separately to an additional three months in jail for first-degree trafficking in stolen property in connection with successfully attempting to sell a stolen painting on March 5, 2018. That sentence also includes $800 court costs and restitution to be determined later.

Civil Judgment

Gina Anderson, of Reardan, was ordered to pay the $7,643.27 balance on a credit account for a vehicle purchase to petitioner Credit Acceptance Corp., which won a Jan. 31 default judgment.

New Criminal Case

Tyler Kevin Sears, 20, of Blanchard, Idaho, is charged with second-degree taking a motor vehicle without permission in connection with a Dec. 11, 2018, incident that ended with a traffic stop in Davenport.
