Editor’s note: Most items in this section reflect the starting point for response by local police and emergency agencies. The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office does not release names of individuals who report possible criminal or suspicious activities to dispatchers or alleged victims for this column.

Monday, April 22: A small metal garbage can was damaged as a result of someone riding a dirt bike across the Harrington golf course.

Deputies investigated a report that a large dog attacked two wiener dogs being walked by a woman in the vicinity of Third and Main streets in Davenport.

A Harrington area caller reported someone had driven across a field adjacent to Mielke Road on freshly prepared soil.

A caller reported a Maltese Yorkshire terrier was stolen from property along Redwine Canyon Road.

Looking through a peep hole in the front door, a Wilbur woman told dispatchers she saw a suspicious individual with medium length gray hair standing there. Responding to the 500 block of NW Armstrong, a deputy couldn’t find anyone fitting that description.

Tuesday, April 23: Responding to the 1300 block of Main Street, Davenport ambulance personnel transported a 20-year-old man with severe abdominal pain to Lincoln Hospital.

Odessa ambulance personnel transported an individual from the scene of a two-vehicle collision on SR 21 to the local hospital.

Odessa Police and a deputy responded to a report of a pit bull dog attack on an Odessa municipal employee in the 100 block of East 3rd Avenue. The worker was not bitten. The dog was subsequently spotted near the local school, captured and turned over to its owners.

A caller reported the theft of a license plate from a vehicle in the 200 block of North Division Street in Odessa.

A deputy located a 2-year-old girl at the intersection of SR 28 and Fitness Lane in Davenport and returned her to the custody of a babysitter.

Perhaps as a result of a burglary, medication was reported missing from a residence on Little Falls Road north of Reardan.

Dispatchers took a report from a Lincoln resident of a fraudulent call during which someone claimed to be representing the Drug Enforcement Administration asking for the resident’s Social Security information.

Deputies responded to a “disturbance” involving an intoxicated individual in the 0 block of South 5th Street in Almira.

A man was arrested after deputies responded to a report of an Odessa resident being assaulted with a knife in the 100 block of East 3rd Avenue.

Responding to a residence on Larrabee Street East, Edwall emergency personnel assisted a 1-year-old girl with breathing problems.

Wednesday, April 24: Davenport ambulance and firefighting personnel responded to Third and Marshall streets to assist a young bicyclist who collided with a vehicle. The boy was transported to Lincoln Hospital.

County Public Works personnel repaired a stop sign that was down at the intersection of Bennett Road and Sunset Highway Road East near Davenport.

Deputies responded to a report of a domestic incident involving a married couple in the 200 block of Airport Way in Seven Bays.

Harrington firefighters extinguished a small fire near railroad tracks in the vicinity of South Fourth and West Adams streets.

Thursday, April 25: An injured owl was discovered in the Davenport city park.

Two individuals were hurt and about 40 feet of fence was destroyed as a result of a one-vehicle rollover collision on U.S. 2 near Wilbur. The injured occupants were transported to Lincoln Hospital in Davenport.

A 34-year-old woman was treated at Lincoln Hospital in Davenport for abdominal pain.

Emergency personnel were sent to a residence on Rocklyn Road to assist a 59-year-old woman who was found by her husband in the driveway, apparently suffering a cardiac or respiratory issue.

A Davenport caller reported his young friend fainted while they were “talking about blood.”

Dispatchers were advised a 77-year-old man fell off a lawnmower at a Wilbur residence.

Friday, April 26: A Sprague caller reported a fence near the local Chevron had been damaged as a result of being backed into by a semi-truck.

Investigating a caller’s report that a 12-year-old boy used a pipe to damage a portable toilet at North D Street and West Railroad Avenue in Sprague, responding deputies found no indications of damage.

Saturday, April 27: Odessa firefighters extinguished a power pole on fire at Jantz and Tokio roads. The pole burned in half and tipped into the roadway.

An 82-year-old woman experiencing weakness and dizziness was transported from the 1200 block of Park Avenue in Seven Bays to Lincoln Hospital in Davenport.

A caller told dispatchers she was verbally harassed by a man while both were at the Davenport Sports Complex.

Responding to a residence on Max Harder Road, Sprague ambulance personnel assisted a 67-year-old woman experiencing convulsions and transported her to a Spokane hospital.

Several pieces of possibly stolen mail were found in wet conditions on property adjacent to Piper Lane East in the Ford area.

A tree was reported down across Avista Utilities lines along Welch Creek Road near its intersection with Miles Creston Road.

A collision involving deer and a vehicle took place on U.S. 2 near Wilbur.

An owl or hawk flew into the windshield of a deputy’s patrol vehicle as it traveled on SR 231 near Reardan.

Sunday, April 28: A man was placed into custody for driving under the influence after deputies responded to a report of a collision in the vicinity of Bodeau Road North and Govan Road North near Wilbur.

Davenport firefighters extinguished a fire in an attic in the 27100 block of Gunning Road North.

Dirt bikes were reported traveling at high speeds along Lakeview Road North near Davenport.

Wilbur ambulance personnel transported an 85-year-old man with breathing problems from the 700 block of SE Brace Street to Lincoln Hospital in Davenport.

Wilbur firefighters responded to a report of a field fire near Haden Road East and Stambaugh Road North.

A tree was reported over a power pole near Welch Creek and Underwood Canyon roads near Creston.

Responding to the 700 block of Seventh Street, Davenport ambulance personnel assisted a 61-year-old man with breathing difficulties.

JAIL BOOKINGS

April 22: Jeffrey S. Phillips, 49, Ephrata, Wash., arrested by Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) for violating a no-contact/protection order (3 counts) and making a false statement to a public servant.

April 23: Donald K. Smith, 61, Odessa, arrested by Odessa Police for first-degree assault.

April 24: Bryan T. Ferguson, 43, Grand Coulee, arrested by LCSO for second-degree criminal trespass, driving while license suspended, operating a motor vehicle without ignition interlock, second-degree burglary (2 counts), third-degree theft and second-degree theft.

Kohl K. Michel, 27, Spokane, arrested by Washington State Patrol for operating vehicle without ignition interlock.

April 27: Christie E. Melton, 41, Sprague, arrested by LCSO for first-degree theft and money laundering.

Delanie R. Pierre, 27, Ford, arrested by LCSO for driving under the influence and while license suspended.

April 28: James L. Cornett, 55, Almira, arrested by LCSO for driving under the influence.

An additional individual was held in the Lincoln County Jail under contract with the Washington State Department of Corrections.
