Monday, July 29: An 83-year-old Sprague man was transported by ambulance from a residence on Doerschlag Road to a Spokane hospital after suffering a possible heart attack.

Deputies dealt with a man who was found sleeping outside the Wonder Mini-Mart in Wilbur without permission from the store’s owner.

An Odessa caller reported that someone had removed “pending sale” signs she had placed in the 200 block of West 1st Avenue.

Sprague firefighters extinguished a quarter-acre field fire in the vicinity of Snider and Kallenberger roads.

Responding to the 400 block of West Glover Street in Harrington, emergency personnel assisted a 54-year-old man with heart problems.

A Washington State Patrol trooper took a 16-year-old Almira boy with a bloody lip to a detention center in Grant County.

A collision involving a vehicle and deer took place on SR 25 about 11 miles north of Davenport.

Tuesday, July 30: A 28-year-old man with an extreme headache, possibly as a result of an overdose, was transported from the Reardan clinic to a Spokane hospital.

A report that someone was stealing railroad ties from the vicinity of Waukon and Fancher roads in the Edwall area was referred to BNSF Railroad to investigate.

A caller reported someone took 30 gallons of gas from a boat moored in the Seven Bays Marina.

Odessa Police investigated a report that a bike had been stolen from the 200 block of South 2nd Street.

Dispatchers received a report of a possible cougar sighting in the vicinity of Jefferson and Fifth streets, near Davenport Elementary School.

Wednesday, July 31: A boat came off its trailer while being hauled on U.S. 2 near Reardan after a safety strap and chain broke.

Someone removed all the gravel from a lane leading to a residence off Bear Meadows Lane North near Davenport.

Large items fell from flatbed trailers attached to two pickup trucks traveling on U.S. 2 near Bennett Road east of Davenport.

Reardan Police handled a collision at the intersection of Broadway Avenue and Lake Street.

A semi-truck and a passenger car collided as the truck driver attempted to turn into a driveway from Waukon Road near Reardan.

A caller expressed concern about a campfire on the beach at Sterling Point campground.

Responding to a residence adjacent to Hawk Creek Ranch Road, deputies investigated a report of a domestic incident with a possible juvenile victim.

Thursday, Aug. 1: A Davenport woman reported a check she had sent to a family member that was subsequently stolen, modified and cashed.

Odessa Police checked out a report concerning possible domestic violence, an illegal marijuana grow and possible child neglect.

A Wilbur caller reported someone was attempting to get inside a residence in the 500 block of NW Armstrong Avenue. Deputies placed a woman in custody and referred the matter to mental health personnel.

A 56-year-old man suffered convulsions in the parking lot of the Reardan clinic. Emergency medical personnel transported him to a Spokane hospital.

A Davenport caller reported a man borrowed a vehicle and hadn’t yet returned it.

Responding to a residence on Phillips Lane East, emergency personnel assisted a 34-year-old Davenport woman with a kidney infection that brought side and back pain, breathing difficulties and an inability to stand.

A deputy caught up with a pickup truck at Reardan’s US Bank after taking a reckless driving and poor passing report from dispatchers.

Deputies responded to a report from the Odessa area of a man physically abusing his wife.

A caller advised dispatchers that three men wearing baseball caps were shooting firearms from inside a vehicle traveling on Western Pines Drive North near Davenport. A responding deputy caught up with the vehicle in the Safeway parking lot and advised its occupants about shooting from a vehicle, on a county road and towards private property.

A one-vehicle rollover collision took place near the intersection of SR 174 and Geostar Drive North near Grand Coulee. Its driver advised deputies that she had swerved to avoid a deer and went into a ditch adjacent to Rainbow Road.

Friday, Aug. 2: Deputies investigated a report of someone growing marijuana without a license on Paradise Lane North in the Lincoln area.

A Davenport area caller expressed concern that two men and a woman inside a van may have been casing the area when they stopped outside his residence and said they had no oil cap. The caller made a makeshift oil cap for them and, having sent them on their way on U.S. 2, promptly contacted the sheriff’s office.

A Sprague caller told dispatchers he sent a check for $350 to claim a $1 million prize from someone in Texas. He was fortunate to have his bank cancel the check before it was cashed, but was advised by a deputy that “if you have to send someone money to get money, it is a scam.”

Davenport ambulance personnel transported a 40-year-old woman with back pain from a residence on Sobek Road East in the Edwall area to a Spokane hospital.

A National Park Service officer responded to a hit-and-run collision in the Seven Bays Marina parking lot.

Dispatchers learned about possible deer poaching occurring in the Bald Ridge area northeast of Davenport. A responding deputy determined that the people involved are property owners in the area and were gathering wood.

A report of individuals cutting wood and starting fires in the Jones Bay area near Wilbur was referred to National Park Service officers.

Saturday, Aug. 3: Without the property owner’s permission, someone parked a truck in a field adjacent to Miles Creston Road North near Creston.

After receiving a call from a tenant who was being evicted from a Hawk Creek Road residence, a deputy advised the landlord to stop banging on the door and harassing her or he would be arrested for trespassing.

Staff at the Seven Bays Marina restaurant requested assistance in moving vehicles in the parking lot that were blocking patrons from leaving.

Deputies investigated a possible sexual offense involving children.

Before realizing she was being scammed, a Davenport woman gave out credit card information to a company she believed was the Department of Transportation to renew license tabs.

A caller reported an illegal bonfire along Porcupine Bay Road North. Firefighters from Egypt were dispatched.

Sunday, Aug. 4: Davenport firefighters responded to a report of a fire in the vicinity of Fitness and Omans roads.

A car went into a ditch in the vicinity of Gunning and Jantz roads near Davenport.

Lincoln County and National Park Service personnel were involved in the battle against the Williams Flats Fire on the Colville Indian Reservation which sent smoke and reduced air quality across the region.

A caller said the driver of a vehicle pulling a boat that he had just passed on SR 25 at Hume Road “took exception and began riding (the caller’s) bumper and flipping (him) off.” At the intersection of SR 25 and U.S. 2 in Davenport, the caller said he pulled over to let the other driver head into Davenport.

July 30: Alicia A. Hobday, 45, Spokane, arrested by Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) for first-degree assault and first-degree robbery.

Harold Michael Hobday, 48, Spokane, arrested by LCSO for first-degree assault and first-degree robbery.

Aug. 1: Lavenia Noel Zarnik, 40, Wilbur, arrested by LCSO for a civil (mental health) commitment.

An additional three individuals were confined under contract with the Washington State Department of Corrections, along with one each from the U.S. Marshal’s Service and the City of Airway Heights.
