Kay Kenyon will appear at the Odessa Library on Saturday, October 12 at 1 p.m. to sign her latest work and chat about women who worked undercover during the world wars.

Although we know the names of only a few of them, these women’s stories inspired the author while writing her fantasy espionage trilogy the Dark Talents novels, set in 1936 England and continental Europe.

At her signing, she’ll chat about a few of these remarkable women like: Pearl Cornioley, a leader of the French Maquis and Krystyna Skarbek, the fearless Jewish countess who was determined to fight the Nazis in her Polish homeland.

A Wenatchee resident, Kay is the author of 15 science fiction and fantasy novels. Her latest work from Simon and Schuster is The Dark Talents trilogy. It begins with At the Table of Wolves, which received a starred review from Publishers Weekly. She is also the founding member of the Write on the River organization in Wenatchee dedicated to helping aspiring writers.

More on Kay, including her blog series on Women Spies of the World Wars, can be found at http://www.KayKenyon.com.
