Girls Tigers get three big league wins

Odessa vs. Columbia

On Tuesday, January 21, the lady Tigers faced Columbia High School of Hunters. The Tigers defeated the Lions 56-10.

Grace Nelson led the scoring with 11, while Kenadie Elder and Maddy Wagner each had 10 points and McKennah Davison had 9. Every member of the team scored at least one point.

The Odessa defense tallied 29 rebounds and 29 steals to seal this decisive victory.

Odessa vs. ACH

On January 24, the Almira-Coulee-Hartline Warriors made their way to Tiger territory for an unbelievable match-up. The game went into overtime with the Tigresses beating the Warriors 64 to 63.

The Maxpreps player of the game was Wagner, who led the Tigresses in points with 20. She was followed by Nelson and Caitlyn Schuh with 14 each, Elder with 8, Davison with 6 and Hayden Schuh with 2.

The Tigresses fought hard to keep the ball in Tiger paws. They had a total of 28 rebounds, 11 assists and 12 steals in the game, making it a claw-biter of a show.

Odessa vs. Republic

On January 25, the Tigresses lured the Republic Tigers into their lair to see who was the baddest cat in the district. The OHS Tigers proved to Republic that they are the team to beat this season, winning the game, 58 to 16.

Davison, the Maxpreps player of the game, led the Tigers in points with a total of 21. She was followed by C. Schuh with 10; Nelson with 6; Maddie Scrupps with 5; Elder, Wagner and Katreace Boss with 4 each and Kaytlyn Schafer and Tori Schlomer each with 2 points in the game.

Even though the Tigresses must have been weary from the previous battle the night before, they still kept that teamwork going. They had 37 rebounds, 9 assists and 23 steals. The girls proved that they are prepared for battle any day of the week, even on back-to-back nights.
