Reardan teachers, principals and superintendents lined Spokane Street outside Reardan High School on June 18 for a summer send-off. Third grade teacher Heidi Nelson, who coordinated the event, said she got the idea from seeing other schools around the country do a similar event. Parents and caretakers drove students up and down the street while teachers, principals and superintendents waved goodbye, handed out candy and wished the children a happy summer.
