Not just black, but all lives matter

This letter to the editor might trigger some folks to extreme discomfort.

Today, as I was driving to Lincoln Hospital, I noticed a large sign posted just outside the parking lot that stated “Black Lives Matter, Believe It, Live it.”

I fully support the individual (or group) right to free speech as enshrined in our Constitution and I also believe in vigorous debate without engaging in threats, violence or vandalism.

Therefore, I feel the need to respond to this sign as it seems to be a command to the reader.

Personally, I hold to the belief that all life matters. God is the author of life and human life is very precious to him.

I wish his creation felt the same way towards each other. The Black Lives Matter movement does not hold to these same truths and I am dismayed by those who have joined the BLM movement or espouse its motto.

The movement has endorsed many Marxist (communist) principles and the destruction of the family. They are now starting to join in with Jihadist groups and in attacking the nation of Israel (the only democracy in the middle east).

Even more disturbing to me is that BLM has propagandized many by stating that law enforcement throughout America has engaged in a “genocide” against black people. The true facts show that out of 10 million calls for service last year, 10 unarmed black people were killed by law enforcement.

Out of those 10, four were deemed justifiable due to other causes such as physical assault of the officer. Of the other six, those officers were arrested.

On the contrary, the true genocide of black people has been occurring since 1973, the year abortion was legalized. Since that time, over 19 million innocent black babies have been aborted in America.

That is an average of over 800 black babies killed every day. Where are the athletes and celebrities protesting in the streets or on social media?

What about the over 3,000 black Americans killed in gang related violence last year? Chicago, Baltimore, New York City and other large cities have become killing grounds but not a peep from the Democratic party or the movement.

All life matters, believe it, live it.
