Oct. 23 "snowiest" on record

DAVENPORT – According to the National Weather Service, the early snowfall last Friday made Oct. 23 the “snowiest” on record for the City of Davenport. The city received 3.2 inches of snow that day.

The new record is exclusive to the city, as Lincoln County saw a record of 6.5 inches of snow in 1935.

The wintery weather pattern also brought in temps that were colder than usual. From Thursday to Sunday, Lincoln County saw temperatures drop 12 to 22 degrees colder than usual, according to the weather service.
