Serving Lincoln County for more than a century!

New health records system starts up Nov. 9

ODESSA – Odessa Memorial Healthcare Center will be making the transition to using a new Cerner electronic health record (EHR) system on November 9, 2020. This will be the culmination of a year-long implementation project involving a significant investment of time and resources for our small facility. OMHC staff and our new Cerner partners have done a commendable job of adapting and overcoming the challenges that 2020 has thrown our way. Most project events were conducted virtually instead of hosting the Cerner team onsite, but our team didn’t skip a beat!

The switch to Cerner will be great for our patients and staff. We know it will pay huge dividends in helping us to continue to deliver caring, quality healthcare to our community for years to come. Cerner is an integrated system that will allow us to have one medical record for all OMHC patients.

Whether we see you in the hospital or rural health clinic, or if you are one of our long-term care patients, our staff will be able to seamlessly view your medical information and make the most informed decisions for your care.

Since Cerner is one of the most-used systems in hospitals nationwide, we will be able to share records with other healthcare organizations in Washington state and around the country. If you will be visiting our facility in the weeks to come, please pardon any minor delays as our staff continues to learn and adapt to the new system. As always, we appreciate your patience and support in helping us provide the best possible healthcare for Odessa and the surrounding community.
