Odessa Hardware holds grand opening

ODESSA – Last Saturday was a busy day at the grand opening of Odessa Hardware, with Matt and Liz Roberson and members of their extended family hosting folks who dropped by to shop, visit and enter drawings for various store items throughout the day.

Matt's niece and nephew, Josee and Cass Newman, were on hand to help out, as was the Roberson children's grandmother Alberta Cannon. All three of Matt and Liz's children were also present, Cannon, Katherine and Annabelle. It was a real family affair.

Drawings were held for eight door prizes during the day, with local folks happily leaving with a shop vac, rotary tool, ceiling fan, hoses, a wrench set, a buddy heater, a house fan and a featherweight wet/dry vacuum. Bottled water and pastries were also given away to all who came.

The visitors left with plenty of other merchandise from the store that they had purchased. Business that day was phenomenal, according to Matt Roberson. "I was extremely pleased and happy with the community support. It was great to see some new faces, and I was glad that everyone seemed to be having a good time," he said.
