Ag Swag sells hats to benefit ranchers

Harrington area business donates funds

HARRINGTON – As part of an effort to support ranchers in Lincoln County after the Whitney fire this summer, local business Ag Swag recently sold 14 dozen hats with the slogan "Log it, graze it or watch it burn." The proceeds from the hats, totaling over $2,000, will be donated to the Lincoln County Cattlemen's Association.

Owner Julie Jacobsen said she was encouraged by the hat sales and the message they shared.

"Thank you to all that supported this effort! We started with 2 dozen hats, one of each color tag. We sold 14 dozen and that's 14 dozen little walking billboards sharing a message we think deserves conversation," she noted on Ag Swag's Facebook page.

Jacobsen said the hats were purchased from all over the US including South Dakota, California and Kentucky.

"Someone even kindly paid for and sent one to Olympia to a State Representative," Jacobsen shared. "With all of your shares, likes and comments this fundraiser spread... like... well, wildfire."
