Davenport rides strong rushing attack, forced turnovers to Senior Night victory

Gorillas notch first win this season

DAVENPORT--After Northwest Christian (Colbert) scored on its opening drive, the Davenport defense didn't look back, pitching a shut out the rest of the way while the Gorilla offense got rolling with three rushing touchdowns. It lead to Davenport's first win of the season over the Crusaders 23-13.

Running backs Ethan Douse and Brenick Soliday and quarterback Evan Gunning all scored rushing touchdowns for Davenport. NWC's second touchdown was a scoop'n'score 55-yard fumble recovery in the fourth quarter.
