No fireworks vendor this year

The Record has learned from Terri King, advisor to the Odessa High School chapter of FBLA, that the group will not be selling fireworks for the July 4 Independence Day celebration this year, as it has for the past several years. The familiar red, white and blue trailer that is normally parked at either the former Chevron gas station or near Odessa Foods will not be coming this year.

“Due to a fireworks shortage, our supplier is unable to provide fireworks to over 100 locations, including Odessa,” King said.
