Heat wave expected this weekend into next week

The National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Watch from Friday afternoon June 25-Tuesday evening June 29 due to dangerously hot conditions that may top as high as 112 degrees in certain areas in Eastern Washington.

Friday, high temperatures are expected to near 100 degrees, while Saturday is expected to top between 97-107 degrees. Sunday-Tuesday will up the ante, topping between 100-112 degrees. Mild overnight lows are expected in the mid-60s to mid-70s.
