Fire burns down country home

ODESSA – At about midday on Tuesday, Nov. 2, a call went out to Odessa firefighters about a building on fire in the countryside. The first crews on the scene found the home formerly owned by the late Curtis Finck fully engulfed in flames. More crews were called upon to assist, and it took between three and four hours to put out the fire, according to firefighter Landon Lobe.

The farmhouse is under new ownership, but no one was home when the fire started. One of the owners arrived home while firefighters were still battling the blaze, saying that a fireplace had been stoked to keep the house so...
