Commissioners wait to approve budget

DAVENPORT – The Lincoln County Commissioners tabled a motion to adopt the final 2022 budget until next week after Christmas at their Dec. 20 meeting, saying that budget isn’t ready for approval yet.

“A lot of items are still in flux,” commissioner Scott Hutsell said at the meeting. “But we’re 95% done.”

Hutsell said some insurance items and budgeting with the Washington State University Extension have yet to be completed.

The meeting was recessed to Dec. 28 for final budget approval, which must be completed by Dec. 31.
