Feb. 21

Traffic stops: 10

A suspicious death was reported in Davenport.

An Almira man reported a dozen cattle standing in the roadway just east of Elliot Road North.

A Spokane man reported a golden lab running loose on Waukon Road near Alexander Road.

A Reardan man said he hit the gas line in his back yard while digging and it began leaking.

A woman said she was bitten in the stomach by a dog twice near the Sheriff’s Office.

A Davenport woman said her neighbor’s dog was “clearly freezing” and was crouched down trying to hide from the wind at a home on Merriam Street.

A Wilbur woman said her daughter started kicking things in her house after her mom wouldn’t give her ranch dressing.

A disabled vehicle with a dead battery was reported on Highway 2 at milepost 241.

A Davenport woman said she locked her keys in her car at her home on the 42000 block of River Ridge Drive North.

A Creston man said he saw two men driving and spinning around before hitting each other on the 100 block of Southwest Railroad Avenue.

Feb. 22

Traffic stops: 5

A caller said he slide off the road and hit a street sign on Highway 21 at milepost 59. He said he wasn’t injured, but said his car was stuck in mud.

The Spokane County Prosecutor’s Office requested assistance locating two victims of a shooting that happened on the county line in Sept. 2021.

A caller said he saw a car on the shoulder of the 700 block of Logan Street in Davenport that wasn’t there when he left for work that morning.

A Reardan man said he locked his keys in his car.

A caller said he ran out of gas and was waiting for assistance from a friend in Airway Heights.

A Grand Coulee man reported a possible driver under the influence on Highway 174 driving all over the roadway.

A Reardan man reported a blue Ford F350 parked in the intersection of Broadway Avenue and Laurel Street that wasn’t running.

Traffic stops: 3

ADT Security reported a residential alarm going off at a residence on the 40500 block of Porcupine Bay Road North.

A Ford man said his Dodge Ram was stolen.

A Grand Coulee woman reported an abandoned vehicle.

A Seven Bays woman said a man was posting pictures and videos of her property on the 2200 block of Grovepoint Court.

A car crash was reported near Fort Spokane in the north Lincoln County area.

A caller said he came home to find people at his house before they peeled out of his driveway and began hiding in his field.

A caller reported a lot of traffic at the wildlife sanctuary north of Reardan.

Traffic stops: 4

A caller reported a suspicious male driving a silver Chevy.

Lincoln County District Court said a defendant in their lobby was becoming unruly and aggressive toward the public defender.

A Reardan man reported a stolen weapon on the 400 block of North Laurel Street.

A Davenport woman requested assistance doing hulk slips on two junk vehicles.

A caller said she heard someone shooting guns on Sprague Highway Road.

A Davenport woman said her neighbor on the 500 block of Washington Street was driving a gray pickup truck with no license plates.

A Davenport woman reported two suspicious men near Jefferson Street.

A caller reported a stolen vehicle in an undisclosed location.

A caller reported a Buick sliding off the roadway on Harrington-Tokio Road just north of the Adams County line.

Grant County said they were harassed over the phone.

A Moses Lake woman requested a civil standby for a child exchange.

ADT Tyco Alarms reported another residential burglary alarm going off on the 40500 block of Porcupine Bay Road.

A Reardan woman said her garage door had been opened.

A caller reported a possible driver under the influence westbound on Highway 2 near milepost 256.

Masonn Hunter Marsh, 32, Spokane. Arrested by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) on charges of second-degree perjury and making a false or misleading statement to a public servant.

Feb. 24

Dale Bruce Lewis, 60, Soap Lake. Previous court commitment for driving under the influence.

Feb. 25

Blake Jacob Culp, 42, Edgewood. Arrested by LCSO on a charge of theft of a motor vehicle.

Criminal court-Feb. 24

Sylvia Jane Peasley, Keller, allowing an unauthorized person to drive. Ordered to pay a $200 fine.

Zachary Aaron Johnson, Davenport, third-degree driving with a suspended license and operating a vehicle without ignition interlock. Sentenced to two days in jail, 12 months supervised probation and a $500 fine.

Trevor Thomas Evans, Cheney, third-degree driving with a suspended license. Case dismissed.

Kayla Marie Meise, Odessa, operating a vehicle after refusing to cancel a title. Case dismissed.

Ethan Robert Mellick, Davenport, two counts of fourth-degree assault/domestic violence. Sentenced to 15 days in jail with credit for two days served, 12 months supervised probation and 12 months unsupervised probation.

Brad Wilson, Davenport, second-degree criminal trespassing amended to driving with wheels off roadway. Ordered to pay a $139 fine.

William Lloyd Bentley, Rockford, third-degree driving with a suspended license and failure to transfer a title. Second charge dismissed. Sentenced to 12 months supervised probation.

Nicholas Gene Finch, Reardan, fourth-degree assault/domestic violence. Ordered to pay a $4,500 fine.

Jennifer Lynn Sundberg, Denver, failure to stop for a law enforcement officer. Case dismissed.

SUPERIOR COURT

Criminal docket-Feb. 22

Ethan Robert Mellick, who was charged with second-degree assault causing substantial bodily harm, had his case resolved in District Court.

Loren Randall Bolsoy, who is charged with second-degree rape and harassment with the threat to kill or cause bodily injury, filed a motion in support for a hearing regarding the defendant’s offer of proof. His next court appearance was scheduled for March 22.

Shash Sky Talancon, who is charged with second-degree assault causing substantial bodily harm, waived his right to a speedy trial. A readiness hearing was set for May 10 and a jury trial was set for June 8.

Timothy Richard Bordwell, who is charged with theft of a motor vehicle, failed to appear for a status hearing. A warrant was issued for his arrest and bail was set at $5,000.

Stuart Jay Foley, who is charged with a protection order violation with a previous conviction, failed to appear for an arraignment. A warrant was issued for his arrest and bail was set at $5,000.

Masonn Hunter Marsh, who is charged with second-degree perjury and making a false statement to a public servant, entered a not-guilty plea. A readiness hearing was set for April 19 and a jury trial was set for May 11.

Amos Matthew Staggs, who is charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, second-degree possession of stolen property and possession of another’s identification, failed to appear for an arraignment. A warrant was issued for his arrest and bail was set at $5,000.
