James C. Poe went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Feb. 19, 2022 in Odessa, Wash., with his wife Vivianne by his bedside. He was born in Denver, Colo. to James O. and LaVera Poe. He became a Christian in his early twenties.

He loved young people and always tried to encourage them to be the best they could be. James saw a person's highest potential even if they didn't see it themselves and treated them as such. Adventure was in his blood as he traveled to several countries and all the states except Hawaii.
