Locals receive P.E.O. scholarships

Awards given annually to graduating girls

DAVENPORT—P.E.O. recently announced their 2022 scholarship recipients, Darby McLaughlin of Reardan and Cady Zellmer of Davenport.

Each of these young women will receive a $500 scholarship while attending their chosen institution of higher education.

McLaughlin, the daughter of Todd and Andrea McLaughlin, will be attending Oregon State University where she will pursue a degree in wildlife biology.

Zellmer, the daughter of Kyle Zellmer, will be attending Carroll College in Helena, Montana while working toward a nursing degree.

The goal of these scholarships is to recognize young women graduating from Davenport and Reardan-Edwall High Schools who have a desire to seek growth in knowledge through education, a willingness to contribute to their community and aspiration for personal development.

Chapter N was organized in 1907 as a Philanthropic Educational Organization encouraging women to reach for the stars through education. The chapter has participated in sponsoring a number of scholarships and educational loans at the local and international levels for over 100 years.
