July 4

Traffic stops: 31

A caller reported a person sleeping in a vehicle.

A woman said her family was camping at Spring Canyon and people in an adjacent campground were heavily drinking and talking about firearms.

A Davenport woman said a boat ran into another boat at her storage business.

A dead deer was reported five miles north of Davenport on Highway 25.

A caller said her sick dog could have eaten some suspicious white powder on the ground outside.

A Davenport man said his daughter ran away from his home on the 900 block of Maxwell Street after they got in an argument.

A Renton woman reported an injured deer on Highway 2 at milepost 233.

A man reported people setting off fireworks at Little Falls Dam north of Reardan.

A man said an R.V. parked on his property on Fishtrap Road in southeast Lincoln County the week prior. The caller believed people were living out of the R.V.

A Reardan man said people were camping on the county easement adjacent to his property on Highway 231 and wouldn’t leave.

Washington State Patrol advised of a driver under the influence.

A woman said her husband drove their car into a ditch on Highway 2 between Creston and Wilbur and their motor assist company was unable to provide that assistance.

A caller said his neighbor told him three boys were missing on Lake Roosevelt.

An Odessa man said people accidentally shot fireworks toward his face at the local high school football field, but he was uninjured.

July 5

Traffic stops: 8

A man reported a possible vehicle theft on Highway 21 and Eagle Springs Road between Odessa and Wilbur.

A two-vehicle noninjury crash was reported.

An Edwall man said someone tried to take money out of his bank, but the bank stopped it knowing it wasn’t his purchase.

A caller reported a cow loose on Highway 28 at milepost 125.

A caller reported an abandoned vehicle on Tramm Road outside Reardan.

A disabled motorhome blocking Highway 21 at Highway 2 in Wilbur was reported.

A Reardan man said his daughter wrecked her car a quarter mile south of their house on Schwartz Road.

A Lincoln County Jail inmate was transported to Lincoln Hospital for a COVID-19 test.

A caller said he locked his keys in his car at the Sprague rest area.

A Reardan man said he believed there was drug use by one of his tenants at a rental property.

A “very friendly” small goat was reported running around in traffic by Davenport High School.

A Wilbur youth said his friend broke his leg jumping into a bush.

July 6

Traffic stops: 13

A suspicious empty bike was reported at Wilbur Park.

A suspicious vehicle was reported at U.S. Bank in Reardan.

A homeless man sleeping in his car north of Broadway Avenue on Laurel Street in Reardan was reported.

A caller said she locked her keys in her car.

A caller said someone stole his tools from his toolbox and put stolen tools back in it.

A port-a-potty fell off a truck on Highway 231 outside Reardan.

A Lincoln County Jail inmate was transported to Spokane County.

A driver under the influence of alcohol was reported on Highway 2 at milepost 225.

An Enumclaw man said neighbors were shooting on his property at Hawk Creek.

A Reardan man said someone burglarized his house and stole his pickup truck on the 29700 block of Mondovi Road.

A disabled vehicle was reported on Broadway Avenue and Elm Street in Reardan.

A Davenport man said he and his girlfriend found a black lab curled up on his front porch on the 1000 block of Washington Street.

Spokane Tribal Police said they had pulled over a man with a felony warrant that had previously abandoned a stolen vehicle.

A caller said she saw a body hanging from a tree in the woods across from her Wilbur residence, but law enforcement determined that wasn’t the case.

July 7

Traffic stops: 18

A Wilbur man reported a man walking in the middle of Highway 174 east of Lakeview Terrace.

A caller said her boyfriend jumped on her with his knees while she was laying on a couch.

A Harrington man reported what he believed were employees of Highline Grain Growers in Mohler speeding on Coal Creek Road.

A Reardan man said a woman started screaming that he stole her dog when she went onto his property and started rummaging through his car.

A caller reported a driver that was unaware the boat they were pulling on a trailer on Highway 2 into Reardan had a flat tire.

A caller reported an abandoned semitruck on Bailey Road just off Harrington-Tokio Road.

A toddler was reported in a roadway in Reardan.

A caller reported a silver sedan with poor lane travel drive into a wheat field off Highway 2 eastbound toward Reardan.

July 8

Traffic stops: 9

A Grand Coulee woman said she heard a strange noise that woke her up.

A buzzing, but voiceless 911 call came from a Davenport residence that had been subjected to a burglary in the previous two days.

A suspicious person was reported at the R Store in Reardan.

A welfare check was requested on the 400 block of West Fourth Street in Odessa.

A Davenport woman reported a green car driving extremely slowly on Highway 2 entering Reardan.

A caller said her friend was assaulted by a man the previous night.

An 82-year-old man said he had a short fall and hit his head.

A Harrington woman said she was having issues with her sister and sister’s children.

July 9

Traffic stops: 24

An Almira man said his ex-wife didn’t drop his child off at Town Hall like they agreed to.

A caller reported a black pickup making bad passes and forcing vehicles off the roadway westbound on Highway 2 at milepost 256.

A Davenport man reported a possible driver under the influence northbound on Highway 231 from Reardan.

A caller said he wanted to put on record that his mom was bothering him.

A woman said she was on scene to hand off her child to her ex-husband, who had phoned the Sheriff’s Office earlier that day, and he wasn’t there.

Okanogan County said they received a burglary alarm notice from the National Park Service’s office in Grand Coulee.

A caller reported a loose piglet at 10th and Adams Streets in Davenport.

A woman said a man was trespassing on her property.

A man reported two cows in the roadway on Seven Springs Dairy Road.

A Reardan man requested a checkout on a residence on the 36300 block of Crescent Road North on suspicion that a person there was illegally using firearms.

A woman said a male customer threatened to cut her throat at the Sprague Motel.

A Seven Bays man reported six golf carts being driven recklessly.

A Davenport man said youths were driving up and down Main Street at 45 mph.

July 10

Traffic stops: 21

A commercial burglary alarm was reported at Buddy Boy Farms in Devil’s Gap.

A swine at large was reported on the 1000 block of Adams Street.

A caller reported trespassing at a motel.

Two cows were reported in the roadway on Gaffney Road East near Sprague.

A possible driver under the influence was reported on Highway 2 at milepost 257.

A caller reported a 43-year-old man breathing but not responding correctly.

A caller said her daughter ran away to Spokane County.

Criminal docket-July 5

Cody James Magruder was convicted of third-degree malicious mischief and third-degree theft and was sentenced to 60 days in jail.

Catherine Marie Herrman was convicted of first-degree escape and was sentenced to one year and one day in prison.

Theodore M. Codon, who was charged with second-degree assault, interfering with domestic violence reporting and resisting arrest, had his felony charges dropped due to him beginning in-patient treatment.

Damion M. Pegram, who is charged with third-degree assault of a law enforcement officer, third-degree assault of a healthcare worker and second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm, had his charges upgraded to two counts of third-degree assault, second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm, third-degree theft, possession of a stolen firearm, first-degree rape and two counts of second-degree rape.

David Robert Rickard, who is charged with second-degree burglary, making or having burglary tools, third-degree theft and third-degree malicious mischief, was ordered to enter mental health treatment for 45 days.
