County expects opioid settlement dollars

DAVENPORT—The county may be receiving north of $250,000 in settlement money stemming from a lawsuit filed by the state Atttorney General’s office against three companies blamed for helping to fuel a nationwide opioid epidemic.

Lincoln County’s chunk is a sliver of change compared to the state’s allotment of up to $430 million.

The county receives about 0.17% of the lawsuit payouts, prosecuting attorney Adam Walser told the county commissioners Tuesday, Sept. 6.
