Tigers make fierce comeback

ODESSA- The Lady Tigers had a comeback after losing the first two sets at a home game against the Waterville/Mansfield Shockers on Tuesday, Sept. 20.

A non-league game that was highly competitive could be heard through the bleachers.

On both sides of the gym fans of the Shockers and Lady Tigers were voicing their opinions on how close the first two sets had been.

The first and second set had the same score of 25-19 with the Shockers getting the win.

The third set opened with the Lady Tigers coming back with a force.

The Lady Tigers came back to beat the Shockers in the third set 25-16.

In the fourth set the Tigers tied the match with a narrow win of 25-22.

With both teams tied for wins they went into a fifth set.

The fifth set came to an end fairly quickly with Odessa winning 15-6. Odessa had a total of 101 service aces for the game against Waterville.

Senior Hayden Schuh had 22 kills for Odessa. The Tigers had 46 total. Senior Laela Hardung had an impressive 31 service aces.

Odessa is currently at 3-1 for the season and is ranked number 1 in the Northeast 1B League. The Lady Tigers face Almira-Coulee-Hartline on Thursday, Sept. 22.
