Applications available for Davenport Christmas Care Project

DAVENPORT--Applications for the Christmas Care Project are currently available for families who need assistance with gifts and a holiday meal for Christmas.

The applications can be picked up at the Davenport Post Office, NEW Alliance Counseling and Davenport Elementary school office. There is also the option to fill out and submit the application online at http://www.davenportwa.us.

This year’s deadline for applications is Tuesday, Nov.15. Any family living in the Davenport School District is welcome to apply.

In past years, the Davenport community has generously fulfilled requests from tags on the Sharing Trees. Sharing Trees tags will be available at the Davenport Pharmacy and Some Like It Hot Espresso starting the week of Thanksgiving.

Community members are asked to purchase the specific item listed on the tag and return it to the Sharing Trees by Sunday, Dec. 11.

Donations are also needed to cover the costs of providing a holiday meal to each family and to purchase gift items not donated from the Sharing Trees. Donations can be dropped off at the Wheatland Bank’s Davenport branch (please specify the Davenport Christmas Care Project account) or mailed to: Christmas Care Project, P.O. Box 684, Davenport, WA 99122.

Please call or text Carey Guhlke-Falk at 307-699-4649 for more information.
