No more interim tag for Gants

DAVENPORT-Gabe Gants is no longer interim Lincoln County Sheriff...he's just, simply, Lincoln County Sheriff. Gants, 41, was elected to the four-year position by county voters, leading challenger Brian Telford 3,016 to 1,491 as of Election Night Tuesday, Nov. 8.

Gants garnered 66.29% of the vote to 32.77% for Telford. 43 voters chose write-in candidates.

"I'm just blessed. Glory be to God," Gants said. "I'm thankful that we can move forward now."
