School zone intersections of concern
The Davenport City Council discussed a need for stop signs near Davenport Elementary School during a Wednesday, Sept. 9, meeting in City Hall.
DAVENPORT - The City Council is reconsidering plans for a four-way stop at the intersection of Washington and Fifth streets.
During a Wednesday, Sept. 9, meeting, council members revised the idea for the intersection, where Davenport Elementary School parking lot is located, after the idea faded last year.
The also discussed possible stop signs near the sports complex and a speed trailer.
Councilman Michael Wilkinson said the city Street Committee talked about extra signs after an erratic driver was observed around children on bikes.
