Eldora Viola Lesser Ball

Eldora Viola Lesser Ball died January 10, 2013.

She was born in Irby on September 29, 1918, the second child of Henry Lesser, Jr. and Mollie Walter Lesser. She graduated from Odessa High School in 1937.

She married Charles Ball on May 15, 1943. The couple raised their family in Seattle. Eldora was a homemaker and Charles drove truck for Safeway. They owned and operated “Ball’s Barn,” a second-hand store and auction for 10 years. Eldora had many hobbies, including oil painting, gardening, crocheting and sewing.

At the time of her death she was living with her daughter in Everett. Eldora is survived by her children Terry Ball (Wanda) of Lynnwood and Teresa Oppie (Kalani) of Everett, her sisters Laverna Dormaier of Spokane and Janice Eckhart of Moses Lake and by seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her sister Dorothy Cornelius in 1949, husband Charles in 1983, daughter Leora Hammack in 2008, brother Harold Lesser in 2009 and brother Loren (Bud) Lesser in 2011. Services were held January 18 in Lynnwood.
