Food bank items needed

As The Odessa Record has reported for the past two weeks, the local food bank will be the beneficiary of a project performed by members the Youth Group made up of young people from local churches. They will knock on doors to distribute bags for food/items donations, this Sunday, November 5, and pick up the bags the following Sunday, November 12, from your front porches. If you wish to donate and are wondering what items are needed to stock the food bank shelves during the year the following list is provided: noodles of any kind, spaghetti, tuna fish or any canned meat, Hamburger Helper (any variety), potato mixes/pasta salad mixes, peanut butter (creamy or crunchy), Spaghettios, Van Camp pork and beans, beef stews, spaghetti sauce, breakfast cereals, canned fruit, canned vegetables, soups, mild chili, toiletries: toothpaste, facial tissue, toilet paper, deodorant, shampoo, razors, combs, laundry soap, dish soap.

The grocery cart at Odessa Foods will be available to fill with your food/items donations for those who find it easier than filling the bags being distributed, with the food being picked up Sunday, November 12. Monetary donations are also gladly accepted.
