The staff of The Odessa Record would like to thank our readers for their loyalty over the past year, their patience in dealing with late papers now and then and the many kind words and compliments from so many of you. Although we sometimes feel that our role as the voice of Odessa is being usurped by Facebook, we have heard from many, many people that they do not want The Record to disappear. We would certainly like to retire one of these days, but we need to find someone to take over who will do justice to our small town and its history.
