    Daniel Hopp, long-time Colville resident, died February 2, 2012 in Colville at the age of 91. He was born in Odessa, the son of Conrad and Anna Margaret (Bostrom) Hopp. Dan moved with his family to Lamona in 1925, where he attended school through the sixth grade and worked on the family farm.     Odessa’s excellent train service ended abruptly in early 1929, with the opening of the Great Northern Railway’s Cascade Tunnel.
