After opening in late August, the Livestock Producers Co-operative Association (LPCA) plant, the local meat processing facility in the Odessa Industrial Park, has received the final “Grant of Inspection” from the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture (USDA). “We have been working hard to meet this milestone and are ready to roll full speed in 2014,” said General Manager Darren Summers. A Quilters Tea is being held Monday, February 10, at Any Occasion Banquet Hall, to benefit The Odessa Quilt Club’s quilt-making project for Angel Flight, and hopefully also make a monetary donation to the Angel Flight organization.
