Twenty-five animal heads and furs have been on display in the Harrington Public Library since June of 1973. The late Louis Schultz was a Harrington farmer who enjoyed game hunting when he was not busy keeping his farming operations going. The Odessa Chamber of Commerce celebrated the close of 2014 and the beginning of 2015 with a community gathering at the Odessa Community Center on December 31. The Grant County Sheriff’s office reported a 911 outage affecting Wilson Creek and possibly affecting other areas. Those having trouble calling 911 were advised to call 509-762-1160 for help. That is the MACC non-emergency line. The report also said the outage was possibly caused by rodents. Washington residents can now recycle fluorescent lights and other mercury-containing lights for free at 130 sites throughout the state, with more being added in the months ahead. Harrington Public Library recently received six CDs from Georgia Dover of Eagle Point, Ore. containing interviews with her father, the late Frank Gateley, taped in 1984. Keller Ferry drivers will need to find another route to cross the Columbia River this weekend as crews make permanent repairs to the ferry’s steering system.
