Odessa Aquatic Recreation Center will be open June 19

The Odessa Aquatic Recreation Center is ready to open this Sunday, June 19. The pool is open Tuesday through Sunday during the following hours:

Open swim: 1 - 5 p.m.

Night swim: 6 - 7:30 p.m.

Adult swim: Tuesday through Thursday only, 5 - 6 p.m.

Daily fees are $2.50 per swimmer and $1.00 per non-swimmer. Season passes are $50 for an individual pass and $125 for a family.

Swimming lessons will be offered for $20, with Session 1 taking place from July 5 to 15 and Session 2 from July 19 to 29. Level 5 and 6 lessons are scheduled for 9 a.m., Level 3 and 4 at 9:40 a.m. and Level 1 and 2 at 10:20 a.m.

“Mommy and Me” lessons will be offered at 11 a.m. during Session 2 only. The pool is scheduled to be open through August 21.

The FOP will be providing healthy snacks along with Gatorade and water again this year. The FOP donates all incoming money from the concessions to help defray the cost of swim lessons and keep the price per lesson low for larger families.

The pool is also available for private rental during times that it is not open to the public. Town Clerk Linda Burghard has all of the necessary information, including the cost.

The pool will be open on July 4 this year for limited hours. The volunteer firemen are having a community BBQ at Reiman Park that day, so the pool will be open for those who wish to swim.
