Patrons and friends of the Rolling Thunder Saloon are being asked to come into the saloon at 9 a.m. Saturday to practice for and then record a video of the group lip-syncing to a recording of “Freedom at the Cost of a Friend.” The song was written by saloon owner Nate Lathrop to honor Daniel Pearl, a journalist killed by terrorists in the Middle East.
Wim Kuipers, a contact of Lathrop’s in Holland, has made a professional recording of the song. He now wants the bar crowd to perform to the recording for a music video. Kuipers will edit the video prior to its release.
