Visitors to the school’s open house held last Thursday, September 1, The Odessa School District is now fully compliant with the requirements of the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) after installing a wheelchair ramp leading from the lower elementary school level to the upper hallway that eventually joins with the high school wing. Handicapped-accessible bathrooms have also been installed inside the Kindergarten and first-grade bathrooms, replacing the “postage-stamp” sized bathrooms installed in those classrooms when the structure was built in the 1950s.
