Vets Day dinner to feature Honor Flight participant

The Ladies Auxiliary to VFW Post 7395 will be serving up a turkey dinner at the Veterans Day dinner Friday, Nov. 11, at 6 p.m.

Turkey, potatoes, gravy and dressing will be provided. Guests are asked to bring a salad or a dessert.

Lloyd Tebow will be the featured speaker, telling about his recent Honor Flight to the World War II memorial in Washington, D.C.

The Auxiliary will also be selling raffle tickets to raise money for scholarship programs.

The Ladies Auxiliary to the VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) is a national organization dedicated to the motto “Honor the dead by helping the living.” They support the programs of the VFW, including the Voice of Democracy Audio-Essay scholarship and Patriot’s Pen contests, and the Auxiliary’s Young American Creative Patriotic art scholarship contest.

The Ladies Auxiliary will also be hosting a dessert social on Wednesday, November 16, for prospective members. Women of all ages are welcome to come and enjoy some good company and find out what the VFW Ladies Auxiliary is all about.
