Lobster an economical choice

Due to the high cost of fresh crab this spring, the Odessa Lions Club offered a “Surf and Turf” dinner featuring steak and lobster instead.

The dinner was held March 10, and drew over 200 diners. Crews were kept busy in the Heimbigner addition to the Community Center as well as outside the main kitchen, cooking both entree choices on grills.

The Lions serve the community in many ways, and the annual dinner is one of the more entertaining. They also host the Turkey Carnival the weekend prior to Thanksgiving, and host a breakfast during Deutschesfest. Funds raised at these events are in turn use...
