Letter to the Editor: We deserve the truth about Benghazi debacle

Three months after the worst terrorist attack on an American diplomatic outpost since the 1998 Embassy bombing the state department is trying to clarify what happened in Benghazi this past September 11th.

Congress was to be briefed by an advisory board on security in Libya. Two deputy secretaries were to testify in open hearings in the House and Senate. Fuller disclosure on Benghazi is supposed to set the record straight.

However, the critical piece of the puzzle will still be missing. Hillary was scheduled to testify but she came down with a virus. Shortly thereafter a spokesman announced that Hillary had fainted and sustained a concussion. No explanation was made as to why her injury hadn’t been made public earlier. The committee will now wait until January to hear from Hillary.

Sources on the Hill stated that it would be hard to schedule her in January. I believe congress should insist on hearing her sworn testimony as it is long overdue.

A concussion is not to be taken lightly and it can take time for a person to recover. However, usually it takes a hard blow to the head like in sports or a vehicle accident. Is it probable that a woman would suffer a concussion from fainting?

Over two months ago she said that she took full responsibility for Libya but so far she has bobbed and weaved like a prize fighter. We deserve the truth!
