The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office does not release names of individuals who report possible criminal or suspicious activities to dispatchers or alleged victims for this column.

Monday, May 6: A Davenport city librarian reported being harassed by a man while at work on Saturdays.

Searching an area between Wheatland and Gunning roads, a deputy tried to catch a dog that ran from a vehicle involved in a collision the previous day on SR 25 near Davenport. Its owner was hospitalized in Spokane.

Hearing aids lost by a woman were found by a man while mowing in the 700 block of Twelfth Street in Davenport and were returned to her.

A caller reported four recklessly driven vehicles on SR 2 between Davenport and Reardan.

Deputies were called into a dispute involving two men and a woman at a residence on Moore Road North in the Reardan area.

A man engaged in selling property online reported he was contacted by someone overseas and asked for personal information in exchange for $12 million.

Deputies assisted a Pheasant Lane East resident in removing an unwanted man from her property.

Deputies responded to a domestic dispute at a residence on Hume Road north of Davenport. A woman advised she had been struck on the forehead by a man who may have been under the influence of alcohol. He was carrying a hose and metal bar. She told dispatchers that she and another man who resides in the house had weapons in case they had to defend themselves and prevent the suspect from coming inside.

Tuesday, May 7: Wilbur ambulance personnel assisted a 17-year-old boy suffering seizures.

Davenport firefighters extinguished a field blaze on Hart Road.

Two vehicles occupied by individuals watching a game at the Reardan baseball field were reported as blocking Krupke Road. The caller advised that a similar incident last year prevented a farmer from using the road.

A man was cited for having an open alcohol container in his vehicle and throwing beer cans from it while driving in the vicinity of Waukon and Sobek roads near Edwall.

A deputy responded to a report that a swing set had been removed without permission from property in foreclosure in the 300 block of South First Street in Harrington.

The source of a strong ammonia odor may have been a train traveling through Davenport. Tanks at McGregor's were found to be secure; local firefighters and Avista workers checked out a gas pipeline in the vicinity of Third and Jefferson streets.

Creston ambulance personnel transported a 22-year-old man who may have broken a leg in a 4-wheeler accident on Moonshine Canyon Trail to Lincoln Hospital in Davenport. Later, they took a man from a residence in the 100 block of NE E Street in Creston to the hospital after he was hurt in a fall.

Wednesday, May 8: Two horses ran loose in the vicinity of A and Poplar streets in Sprague.

A man was jailed for being in contempt of court after he refused to provide a DNA sample as ordered by the Superior Court.

Deputies assisted Child Protective Services in a matter involving possible mistreatment of a boy in the Creston area.

Two vehicles collided at Tenth and Morgan streets in Davenport. No injuries were reported.

Davenport deputies worked city code violations involving property in the 1000 block of Maxwell, 800 block of Tenth, 1000 block of Merriam and 1000 block of Park.

Responding to the 800 block of SE Pope, Wilbur ambulance personnel assisted an 85-year-old man with low blood pressure and in extreme pain, transporting him to Lincoln Hospital in Davenport.

Reardan EMTs and Davenport ambulance personnel assisted a 39-year-old man who became "dizzy and hot" while working outside in the 200 block of South Aspen.

Thursday, May 9: A woman described as highly intoxicated was observed leaving Davenport Family Foods and driving east on Morgan Street.

Deputies were advised of a dispute between neighbors on Wild Turkey Lane.

A collision involving a vehicle and a deer was reported east of Reardan on SR 2.

Horses were reported on SR 21 about two miles south of Odessa.

A woman suffered a shoulder injury during a domestic dispute at a residence on Max Harder Road near Sprague. A man was arrested on assault and malicious mischief charges.

Wilbur Police checked out a report that a Copenhaver construction truck had spilled gravel on a street in the town limits.

An 8-year-old girl was bitten by a dog in the 300 block of SE Pope.

Friday, May 10: Wilbur ambulance personnel transported a 73-year-old man who was described as not alert to Lincoln Hospital in Davenport.

A caller told dispatchers that he became lost and "turned around" after walking onto his property adjacent to Tamarack Canyon Road to determine where he could drive. A responding deputy found him and brought him back to his pickup truck.

Three moose were observed in a field behind Deb's Café in Creston.

A deputy responded to a report of sick-looking horses on property adjacent to Riffe Road.

A woman who drove 80 miles per hour in a 55 zone on SR 25 told the deputy who stopped her that she had been stung by a bee and wasn't feeling well. She received a police escort to Lincoln Hospital.

A broken fence allowed several cattle to get onto Old Highway Road East, just west of Graedel Road near Odessa.

Two individuals were placed in custody for possible drunken driving after deputies, Reardan Police and Washington State Patrol responded in the aftermath of a dispute involving residents on Moore Road North.

A deputy investigated a possible juvenile curfew violation by a girl in the Reardan area.

Deputies placed a woman into custody for allegedly driving under the influence in the aftermath of an argument at the Black Bear Motel in Davenport.

Saturday, May 11: Dispatchers reported receiving multiple calls during the night from an apparently intoxicated man who wanted to advise the sheriff about threats in the county. He asked to speak to a deputy from the 1980s; when advised the officer is no longer on staff, the man became upset.

A deputy checked out a report of the theft of a 6-foot boat antenna from property on Kunz Lane East in Davenport.

A caller expressed concern about a post on Facebook that seemed to be an implied suicide note from a boy in Davenport.

A man in a 4-wheeler was observed attempting to push down a fence adjacent to Cougar Ridge East Road. Alcohol may have been a factor.

Odessa ambulance personnel transported two men involved in an assault to hospitals in Odessa and Spokane. Responding deputies found about 20 "heavily intoxicated" individuals at the scene on property along Iverson Corner Road East. The initial call to dispatchers came from one of the men who described the other as "face down on the ground" and in "need of medical attention."

A man told Odessa Police he lost an envelope containing $1,000 while attending the local fire department auction.

Sunday, May 12: A woman asked for a deputy's help with a daughter who refused to return to their residence in the 800 block of Main Street in Davenport.

A woman requested assistance from deputies in picking up her children from a Davenport area resident she described as her "ex."

A Davenport area resident asked a deputy to contact her about medical marijuana laws and how many people are allowed to have their "grows" at a single address.

A woman told Odessa Police she lost her wallet while pumping gas at the local Cenex outlet.

Jesse Joseph Arruda, 49, of Davenport, is charged with assault in violation of a protection, restraining or no-contact order in connection with a May 6 incident during which a woman was struck on the forehead at her Hume Road residence.

Justin Robert Jordan, 31, of Spokane, is charged with the April 13 theft of a revolver and holster valued at about $250 from a Lake Street residence in Reardan.

Juvenile Offender Disposition

In a matter transferred to Lincoln County from Grant County Juvenile Court, Jackie Lynn White, 17, Grand Coulee, must complete three months community supervision and 20 hours community service after pleading guilty on April 29 to disorderly conduct (amended from minor in possession) in connection with a Nov. 26, 2012, incident.
