Marie E. (Ramm) Braun

Marie Braun died December 26, 2013, at Lincoln Hospital in Davenport at the age of 89.

She was born January 12, 1924, in Odessa to Gottlob and Mary Ramm.

She grew up with six sisters on a farm southeast of Odessa. She graduated from Odessa High School in 1942. On December 29, 1950, Marie married Elmer Braun, and they lived in Ritzville until they bought a farm in Deer Park.

Elmer preceded her in death on May 20, 1999, and Marie moved to the Davenport Retirement Village in 2006.

She is survived by nieces and nephews Bob (and Diane) Martin, Billie (and Gary) Mills of Davenport; Jim (and Sharon) Martin of Clarkston; Jerry (and Mary) Braun, Ron (and Jerrene) Ramm, Jack Ramm of Spokane, ; Irene (and Chuck) Carnes and Fred Ramm of Odessa; Jon Derr of Davenport; Dick (and Priscilla) Derr of Harrington; Gloria (and Russ) Karches of Gresham, Ore .; Mary, Margaret, Tom and Jon of Rialto, Calif .; Joan of Anchorage, Alaska; Kathy Erickson and Gordon Erickson of Marysville, Wash. and several nieces- and nephews in-law.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 3, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church in Davenport, with Pastor Jim Stern officiating. A graveside inurnment will follow at 3:30 p.m. at the Odessa Cemetery.
