Meet Kristin McKernan

Kristin McKernan is the newest member of the Odessa Record staff. She comes to Odessa by way of Spokane Valley.

She has a varied background in customer service and advertising, so her skills suit The Record's needs very well. She graduated from Central Valley High School and has worked as a barista and on-air radio personality at the Live 104.5 Radio Cafe and the Whistle Stop Coffee Shop in Spokane Valley.

She has also worked as a bartender, transportation center radio operator and office aide at Riverpoint Student Services for Eastern Washington University.

McKernan's significant other is Titus Mertens, recently hired as an accountant at the Odessa office of Leffel, Otis & Warwick. The two have been in Odessa since June and are renting a home here for the time being.

McKernan's family members are in Spokane. She has two younger brothers, one at Washington State University, the other still in high school.

Acting, singing, dancing and performing on stage, radio, etc. are her favorite hobbies, and she is looking forward to finding a local outlet for those interests.
