In a 1B league contest in Spokane hosted by Northwest Christian High School of Colbert on Thursday, April 23, the Titans faced 12 other 1B schools at Mt. Spokane High School in Mead.

Results – boys

In the 100 meters, Sam Schafer took first place in 11.72a, Cole Kissler was 15th in 12.94a, Gaven Elder 17th in 13.09a and Colby Sooy 29th in 13.97a.

In the 200 meters, Schafer again took first in 24.13a, and Aaron Gies was 10th in 26.87a.

In the 800 meters, Tyler Paris finished 10th in 2:31.89a and in the 1600 meters he was 11th in 5:35.26a.

In the 110-meter hurdles, Gies finished first in 18.16a, and in the 300-meter hurdles he came in second in 46.83a. John DeWulf was fifth in 48.02a and Kissler 10th in 50.72a.

In the shot put, Connor Perry was 10th at 35-01.00 and Sooy was 18th at 30-11.50.

Competing in discus, Sooy was eighth at 100-07 and Perry 25th at 73-04.

In the javelin, DeWulf finished fourth at 120-00, Gies 10th at 108-10 Kissler 12th at 106-00, Sooy 25th at 91-00and Paris 36th at 80-00.

Pole vaulters for the Titans were DeWulf coming in second at 9-06.00 and Kissler third at 9-00.00.

In the long jump, Schafer was first with a distance of 20-11.00 and Elder sixth at 17-05.00.

In the triple jump, Schafer was again first at 40-06.00 and DeWulf was third at 38-10.75.

Results – girls

In the 100 meters, Jordyn Tanke finished fourth in 14.15a, and in the 200 meters she was also fourth in 29.13a.

Tanke took second in the 100-meter hurdles, and Shelbey Watkins was fifth in 20.36a.

In the 300-meter hurdles, Watkins finished fourth in 55.26a.

In shot put, Jenna Shafer was 10th with a heave of 24-11.25.

In discus, Casey Schlomer took first at 92-11 and Shafer was sixth at 76-03.

In the javelin, Shafer was first at 105-05 and Schlomer was second at 98-10.

In the high jump, Watkins was sixth at 4-00.00.

In pole vault, Lanessa Simon finished fifth at 7-00.00 and Schlomer was sixth in 6-06.00.

In the long jump, Simon was second at 15-04.00, Tanke seventh at 13-08.00 and Watkins 10th at 12-09.75.

In the triple jump, Simon was second at 30-08.25.

Undeberg Invite

In Ritzville on April 25, the Undeberg Invite drew approximately 30 teams from around the area. The Titan boys' team placed fourth, and the girls' team was tied for eighth with Colville, an A school. Meet winners were Riverside for the boys and Lind-Ritzville/Sprague for the girls.

Results – boys

Sam Schafer's three first-place finishes included the 100 meters in 11.65a and the 200 meters in 23.40a (see below for long jump).

Cole Kissler was 25th in the 200 in 26.01a.

In the 800 meters, Tyler Paris was 24th in 2:22.15a and in the 1600 meters, 38th in 5:22.68a.

Aaron Gies finished 11th in the 110-meter hurdles in 18.43a and 14th in the 300-meter hurdles in 46.35a. John DeWulf also ran the 300 and came in 17th in 47.16a.

In the 4x100 relay, the team of Cole Kissler, Tyler Paris, Colby Sooy and Aaron Gies was 17th in 50.23a.

In the shot put, Connor Perry was 23rd at 34-06.75 and Sooy was 36th at 30-11.00.

The discus competition had Perry in 25th in 93-02 and Sooy in 28th at 90-05.

In the javelin, DeWulf was 16th at 127-03 and Kissler was 38th at 103.

Perry was 16th in the high jump at 5-00.00.

In the pole vault, DeWulf and Kissler tied for 14th at 9-00.00.

Sam Schafer nailed his third first-place win in the long jump at a distance of 20-08.00.

In the triple jump, Schafer was fourth at 40-05.00 and DeWulf fifth at 40-00.50.

Results – girls

Jordyn Tanke took fifth in the 100 meters in 13.43a, third in the 200 meters in 27.75a and sixth in the 100-meter hurdles in 18.03a. Also in the 100-m hurdles, Shelbey Watkins was 21st in 19.82a and 11th in the 300-m hurdles in 53.79a.

In the shot put, Shafer was 23rd at 25-03.00.

The discus competition had Schlomer ninth at 94-03 and Shafer 21st at 72-00.

In the javelin, Schlomer was fifth at 99-08 and Shafer ninth at 92-03.

In the high jump, Simon was 13th at 4-08.00 and Watkins 29th at 4.00.

Simon was fifth in the pole vault at 8-00.00 and Schlomer was 18th at 6-00.00.

In the long jump, Simon was second at 16-00.25 and Tanke was 19th at 13-07.25.

Simon took seventh in the triple jump 32-09.00.
