Richard A. "Rick" Goetz

Rick Goetz passed away May 19, 2015 at his home in Moses Lake at the age of 60.

He was born January 23, 1955 in Grand Coulee to Allen and Doris (Starkel) Goetz. Rick grew up in Odessa and graduated from Odessa High School in 1973. He later married Peggy Finkbeiner and they had four children Justin, Jeff, Jason and Jennifer.

Rick worked at various jobs in the area and was a truck mechanic.

He is survived by three children Justin Goetz, Jason (and Beth) Goetz, Jennifer Goetz (and Jose); nine grandchildren; Rick’s significant other, Lennis Krug, and the children’s mother, Peggy Goetz. Rick has one brother, Daniel, and four sisters, Marilyn Powell, Ellen Minkes, Tawnya St. Pierre and Michelle Arlt and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his son Jeffery Goetz in 2010; his parents, Allen in 1992 and Doris in 2013, and his brother Kim Goetz in 1975.

Rick enjoyed hunting and fishing, canning and pickling. His family, grandchildren and friends were most important to him.

Inurnment service will be held Saturday, May 30, 2015, at 10 a.m. followed a Celebration of Life Memorial Service at 11 a.m. at the Heritage Church with Pastor Jon Hayashi officiating.
