Letter to the Editor: Don't believe everything you read on the Internet

I was told by a friend that drones were being made in Odessa and that jobs were being offered as drone pilots. I said, “No way.” He showed me the following website: http://dronejobz.com/odessa-wa-drone-jobs/. The header said: “Odessa WA UAV Drone Jobs: Hire Drone Pilots in Odessa WA. If you are looking for contract work as a drone pilot or have questions about how to find a contract UAV pilot in Odessa, WA you have come to the right place.” This website was owned by Steve Murray of Wilmington North Carolina. His other websites are Bored Pilots LLC, jetfuelprice.com and van4congress.org. In his disclosure, he writes that his site is just for advertising and product reviews. The drones pictured are from http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00P309MZ6, not Odessa.

If you would like to move, you can get the same job anywhere in the U.S. Just go to DronePilot@5004Jobz who offers these fake positions. “Looking for contract UAV pilot jobs near Ballinger, TX? DroneJobz.com is a great resource for UAV Pilots and Contractors in TX.” There are no jobs here either.

Drone Pilot is no longer a website. It was just an advising page for training to be a drone pilot. Stunning Aerial Videography and Photography Using Drones offered by https://www.udemy.com/drones-aerial-videography-and-photography/ and udemy.com is a company selling and designing websites.

These pages were dated July 31, 2014, so sorry if this is an old joke on me.
