OTHRS to revise renovation plan

At their regular monthly meeting November 5, members of the Old Town Hall Rejuvenation Society (OTHRS) met to discuss future events and fundraising opportunities for the group.

At the top of the agenda was discussion of the possible replacement of the ramp to the east entrance to the dining hall, which has begun to be used frequently by area seniors attending lunch and exercise programs offered at the facility. It was reported that the Odessa Lions Club has applied for a grant to fund the ramp’s replacement.

Also discussed was the opportunity to sell pie at Christmas Fest, which is scheduled for Wednesday, December 2. The group will be soliciting the town’s bakers for donations of pie and will need about eight people to serve pie in two-hour shifts from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. that evening. Anyone who would like to do either (bake or serve) is encouraged to contact Lise Ott at 988-0085.

The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, December 3, at 4:30 p.m. in the Old Town Hall dining room. The primary topic under discussion will be revision of the current renovation plan.
