The Odessa Lions Club crab feed drew a big crowd, as it always does. Club members delivered and served crab straight off the Pacific Coast, while the Riders Club cooked prime rib on the outdoor grill for those unwilling or unable to eat seafood.
The Odessa Lions Club's annual crab feed was another well-attended success last Saturday night at the community center. Club members Jeff Schibel and Steve Powell made the trip to the coast to pick up the 300 freshly caught Dungeness crabs which were cleaned and cooked and put on ice right before being picked up and brought to Odessa.
According to the club's kitchen chairman Clark Kagele, the Lions and their spouses used tried and true family recipes to prepare potato salad, baked beans and garlic bread to accompany the crab or prime rib dinners served (180 crab dinners and 80 prime-rib dinner...
