Friday's football game postponed to later date

Those of our readers looking forward to the start of the new Titan football season will be happy to know the wait is only one more day if you are willing to travel to Northport on Friday, September 9. Those who don’t want to travel that far will have to wait until the first home game on Deutschesfest weekend when the Titans play Republic in the Sausage Bowl September 16.

The Titans were scheduled to play St. John-Endicott September 2, but the game had to be postponed due the failure of an electrical switch located on a pole near a transformer at Finney Field. The lights had been tested earlier...
