INCIDENT LOG

Editor’s note: Most items in this section reflect the starting point for response by local police and emergency agencies. The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office does not release names of individuals who report possible criminal or suspicious activities to dispatchers or alleged victims for this column.

Monday, Dec. 19: A deputy assisted a woman who had locked her keys inside a running vehicle in the 800 block of Ross Street in Davenport.

Tuesday, Dec. 20: Four to six inches of snow, with drifts as high as a foot, were reported on SR 28 south of Davenport.

A vehicle was found in a ditch adjacent to Rocklyn Road about a half mile from Harrington.

A pickup truck reportedly passed four vehicles at once in snow and fog on SR 25 north of Davenport.

Attempting to pass a mail carrier on SR 28 near Odessa, a Jeep got caught in slush, left the roadway and almost hit a rock outcropping before returning to the roadway.

A rollover collision was reported at the intersection of Batum and Davis roads near Odessa.

A resident of NE Cliff Avenue in Wilbur reported her suspicions that her dog may have died as a result of poisoning.

A trailer blocked most of Old Coulee Road near Douglas Road for a time.

A hit and run driver is believed responsible for damage to a street light at the corner of Glover and Third in Harrington.

Mental health personnel were engaged after reports that an individual texted suicide threats to an Almira resident.

Wednesday, Dec. 21: A collision involving a vehicle and deer took place on SR 231 about a mile south of Crescent Road in the Reardan area.

A Harker Canyon resident reported he had received a threatening phone call.

Responding to the 400 block of East Broadway Avenue, Reardan EMTs, Davenport ambulance and LifeFlight aerial ambulance personnel assisted a 65-year-old man who was choking.

Thursday, Dec. 22: Two large dogs tearing open a bag of trash on a porch in the 800 block of Twelfth Street in Davenport frightened residents of the home involved.

Reardan Police helped recover a vehicle reported stolen from Moses Lake in the 100 block of West Broadway Avenue.

Friday, Dec. 23: A collision involving two vehicles occurred after one slid through a yield sign near the US Bank in Sprague.

A vehicle slid off SR 231 and struck a guardrail and rock wall.

An intoxicated man entered a residence in the 1000 block of Sixth Street in Davenport and frightened a man’s daughter who was home alone at the time.

Saturday, Dec. 24: A woman delivering newspapers told dispatchers her vehicle got stuck in snow on Cottonwood Creek Road near Rambo Road.

A vehicle slid off Hume Road between SR 25 and Miles Creston Road north of Egypt.

Windows were discovered broken in a couple of surplus buses parked near the Davenport school bus garage.

Deputies intervened in a dispute involving a man and woman at a residence in the 300 block of SE Trinity Avenue in Wilbur.

Sunday, Dec. 25: A caller reported a break-in at a shop and car shed adjacent to Roby Road in the Creston area.

Unable to hand-dig a woman’s vehicle out of the snow in the 10 block of Morgan Street in Davenport, a deputy used his patrol vehicle’s push bars to achieve success.

Deputies intervened in a dispute involving a man and woman at a residence on Bald Eagle Way in the Reardan area.

Dec. 19: Demontez R. Johnson, 25, Davenport, arrested by Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) for driving under the influence and while license suspended.

Dec. 20: Dustin G. Kynaston, 30, Lincoln, arrested on a Grant County warrant.

Willie L. Jim, 28, Wilbur, arrested by LCSO for second-degree assault (domestic violence), two counts of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence), and interfering with a report of domestic violence.

Dec. 21: Edward W. Seyler, 30, Ford, arrested by LCSO for failing to appear for driving while license suspended.

Dec. 22: Misty J. Baker, 30, Moses Lake, arrested by Reardan Police on warrants from Franklin and Adams counties.

Donald Allen Morrison, 45, Moses Lake, arrested by Reardan Police for driving while license suspended and third-degree possession of stolen property.

Dec. 23: Jemar Bailey, 31, Airway Heights, held one day under contract with Airway Heights Municipal Court.

Catherine J. Hampton, 26, Kalispell, Mont., arrested by LCSO for second-degree burglary and conspiracy to commit second-degree burglary.

Dale J. Burke, 22, Davenport, arrested by LCSO for driving under the influence.

Dec. 24: Nathaniel G. Hannon, 48, Davenport, arrested by LCSO for driving under the influence.

Dec. 25: William A. Kellogg, 48, Sprague, arrested by LCSO for driving under the influence.

Criminal Sentencing

Jeramy Rae Miller, 31, of Davenport, pleaded guilty Dec. 20 to telephone harassment (domestic violence) in connection with a Sept. 17 incident. His sentence includes 30 days in jail, $910 court assessments, $450 attorney reimbursement, a no-contact order protecting the victim, a 37-year-old woman, for five years, and a prohibition against having firearms. As part of a plea agreement, charges filed in District Court were withdrawn.

Civil Judgment

A petition by Rick T. Smith and Scott A. Smith for a domestic violence protection order against Jennifer E. Mallery was denied Dec. 16, the court finding insufficient basis for the request that involved two minor children.

Estate of Alan Badten, of Waterville, Wash., who died Nov. 20.

Estate of Kenneth Wigen, of Rockford, Wash., who died Nov. 22.

Dustin Tanner Baughman, Davenport, third-degree theft, pleaded guilty, 2 days jail (credited as served), $543 court assessments, 12 months supervised and 12 months unsupervised probation, alcohol/drug evaluation and recommended treatment.

Thomas James, New Castle, Colo., driving while license suspended, pleaded guilty, 2 days jail (credited as served), $243 court assessments, 12 months supervised and 12 months unsupervised probation.

Jeramy Rae Miller, Davenport, violate no-contact order, withdrawn by prosecuting attorney as part of plea agreement in Superior Court matter (telephone harassment).

Michael Hurlburt, Lincoln, fourth-degree assault (domestic violence), dismissed at prosecutor’s request (alleged victim had no desire to press charge).

Civil Case

Citing insufficient evidence, the court denied a petition for an anti-harassment protection order requested by Fred A. and Edith I. Zuber against Michael K. Hurlburt. All parties are Lincoln residents.
